Promoting Excellence in the Profession of Counseling
The mission of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for professional counselors, counselor educators, and students established at Ohio University in 1985, is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.
Our Members
As of October 31, 2008, we have 11,709 active members in 253 chapters. A total of 60,639 members have been initiated into the Society.
Member Benefits
Only currently active members of CSI may vote in the CSI elections, hold chapter offices, be nominated for fellowships, internships, awards, or access Members-Only pages of our website such as Job Links and the Counselor's Bookshelf. Active members can view past issues or request an electronic copy of the latest CSI Exemplar.
